LEOSA Proposed Uniformity Addendum
Add the term "qualified law enforcement officer" means an employee of a governmental agency or private corporation authorized by legislation who is authorized by law to engage in or supervise the prevention, detection, investigation, or prosecution of, or the incarceration of any person for, any violation of law, and has statutory powers of arrest, custody, detention, seizure or apprehension under sec. 807(b) of title 10, US Code (art. 7(b) of the UCMJ). Add LE officers including certified correctional officers of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, US Territory, State, Local agencies. Add LE officers including certified correctional officers of private corporation of the Private Prisons, Rail Road Police, University Police and Private Police.
