We would like the Federal Government to allocate additional funding to the States, to provide additional training for current Officers and more training for New Officers. This training should include: Sensitivity Training, Non-Lethal response Training, Deescalation Training, and Networking Training.
In addition the Federal Government should create a uniform training regiment for Police Officers, which includes a 3-6 months period or On The Job training after the graduation from the Academy.
Part of that training should include community service hours to allow the New Officers an opportunity to meet the people in the community they will serve and protect.
