Law Enforcement personnel who injurs (causing bodily harm)/kills an accused or suspected offender with no criminal/violent past in an altercation where the accused was not violent must: Automatically lose their position without the ability to return to it or any other like position. Be brought up on (at minimum) assult charges. Pay a $250,000 fee to the victim's family (1/2 should be paid by the City/State/Federal government that employs them).
Research shows that police officers fatally shot nearly 1,000 people in 2015, and shot & killed 506 more so far in 2016. However, research also shows that only 41 police officers were charged (not convicted) with murder or manslaughter between 2005 and 2011; less than 10% of the murders in 2016 alone.
For EVERY action there should be a reaction.
