Law to ensure The United States will NOT engage in any kind of Thermonuclear Warfare.

Petition to the President of the United States to encourage Congress’s passage of, and then to sign, legislation providing that the US will NOT engage in any kind of Thermonuclear Warfare. Thermonuclear Holocaust has been a horrific possibility since the beginning of the Cold War. The sides in that war operated under the doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction (“MAD”), whereby if one Cold War participant country used a nuclear weapon on another participant country, that would unleash a domino effect and all the countries that had nuclear weapons would fire them at their adversaries. The logic of MAD was that this would end all human life. There is a real possibility this type of policy could again be an answer to another attack on the US.
