LAW FOR PEOPLE PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF DUI ARE NOT ENABLING OFFENDERS TO GET THEIR LIVES BACK,CAUSING FAMILIES TO SUFFER

Created by J.F. on January 31, 2014

Laws involving DUI offenders convicted of low level blood alcohol counts should be allowed to provide for their families by receiving at a minimum a conditional drivers license to continue with their employment. Also, long jail sentences that must be served day for day with no chance of parole is very unfair, especially if no one else was injured or involved in any incidents. There should not be mandatory sentences, as some offenders have children and parents to care for. In almost any other crime, parole is granted. Drug dealers, murderers, and members of violent gangs, for example, are eligible for parole. Not allowing minor DUI offenders to parole out leads to unemployment of people perfectly able to work. Also, it leads a strain on the SNAP, welfare, and public assistance programs.
