Congress has a right to vote and essentially create laws but they are not bound by those same laws. This is fundamentally WRONG. How is this 'fair' that the economy is in dire straits, but you will have the ability to vote on YOUR raise?
Congress goes on 'break' without solving issues while we, the people they are to protect and represent suffer. They should have their pay frozen until a conclusion is reached.
I feel that the laws/bills etc that are created by Congress should have to be followed by those same individuals.
Also, all stock/investments should be made public by the individuals that suddenly become millionaires (Congress) after meetings that are so secret cell phones are prohibited. In the 'regular' world, people are sent to jail for insider trading. Whats the difference?
