Technology continues to advance at a historically unmatched rate. Our weapons research and development programs are unmatched globally. With these great strengths we must continue to guard ourselves against possible weaknesses found in this technology. Artificial Intelligence is estimated to become self-aware within the next 20-25 years. I believe it is essential to the security of our economy, infrastructure and nation defense to block the implementation of self-aware AI systems in military equipment. Please help secure the United States beyond today and lay the groundwork for banning such military research and development from occurring.
