We petition President Obama to work towards reforming Congressional Pay and Pension plans. Specifics aspects to look at:
- Cap Congressional Salaries at $100,000
- Pay is determined on a scale based on national Congressional approval, not to exceed $100,000, not to be less than $30,000. Example, if Congressional approval is below 20%, all members of Congress will recieve no more than $30,000 pay.
- Alter the pension plan of Congressional retirees to state that 1) A Congressional Representative must serve 10 years total as a Congressman or Senator to be eligible for 50% of their highest three years wages. 2) A member of congress must have a Average approval rating in their state or district of no less than 45% upon retirement to be eligible for their benefits.
