Following 16 days of government shutdown, faith in elected officials is at a record low. Most people want a whole new Congress, but that won't happen as long the current election process exists. If we mandate publicly funded elections at all levels, our leaders will represent our interests. Let's push for 100% publicly funded elections at the Federal level at least by 2016. This effort needs leadership from the highest political leaders: the President and Senior Members from both Houses, both parties. Now’s the time!
