We petition the Obama Administration to lead the charge in setting a limit of two terms for all representatives in the United States Congress. A lack of turnover and and a constant focus on Congressional re-election stymie elected officials' ability to enact laws that cross political party lines and strategically benefit the United States.
Term limits would prevent the creation of career politicians, ensuring politicians could better relate to the impact of legislation on the average working American. By virtue of term limits, Congressmen and women would be forced to know the challenge of maintaining a long term, non-political career in the American economy.
