While the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut brings everyone's mind to the fact that guns are so prevalent in our society, those children aren't the only ones who will die from guns today.
Every year, over 11,000 people are killed with a gun in this country. That's more than 30 per day. That's a tragedy on par with the Newton school shootings happening 365 days per year in this country.
The 2nd Amendment, crafted for an entirely different time, has empowered a radical fringe to take America hostage. Repealing the 2nd Amendment will allow the President and Congress to address what Americans really want - meaningful gun control, safer communities, and a country free of tragedies like the one that struck today.
