Today, we face an unprecedented climate reality caused in part by our reckless energy policy. This energy policy heavily reliant on fossil fuels is wrecking our climate, water, air, soil. Our reliance on belligerent foreign nations for oil along with the devastating effects of climate change are arguably the largest national threats we face.
The clean energy initiatives of the Obama Administration are unprecedented. However, they still are producing the results needed to avert environmental disaster. We the American people urge the Administration to put solar panels on the White House and lead by example as Energy Secretary Steven Chu said on Oct. 5, 2010, "The White House will lead by example,".
