lead a patriotic initiative to solve the fiscal crisis, in accord with both sides of the aisle in Congress.

This is an open call to the President and all of our elected officials to put party loyalty aside, and remember that they were elected to serve the United States of America. We call upon all elected officials to put country first. If any cannot put our country ahead of both personal ambition and party loyalty, we call for their resignation as unfit to serve. The oath of office for members of the legislative branch reads in part "I do solemnly swear (affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion." There is no mention of either personal ambition, Republicans or Democrats.
