It has been shown that the use of negative attack ads do assist in having some success in election poll results which may lead to a candidate winning an election. Despite this, it contributes to an increasingly toxic political environment, funded in part by donations, that should be seen as an embarrassment for all who observe these deliberate divisive ads and especially the youth who will take part in the future politics of America. We can only hope that our current platform which utilizes disinformation propaganda with dark, negative tones as a core component for running a successful campaign will serve as motivation for a movement of reform by those who have the fortitude to clean up Washington and inject the proper level of respectful and clear discourse that is needed in this country.
