If the goverment becomes a dictatorship we should be able to defend ourselves. I don't think a shotgun will work on goverment tanks! So then we should have the ability to own tanks. Also they would be useful in case of an invasion from china or nigeria. Plus it would just be freaking awsome to own a tank.
