War on drugs cannot be won because neither the DEA nor the drug lords want it to go away. Each has a vested interest in its survival, the Eisenhower industrial complex, People who want to do drugs have all the drugs they need so what is the DEA doing? If it were legalized and controlled the quality would be better, price would go down, crime reduced, killings stopped, the dollars save could be better deployed and the human resources deployed could be better utilized.
We are human beings, we have a brain to solve problems, drug lords do the same, it will always be a draw. Decriminalize drugs and those who die are the ones that choose to overdose not the innocent ones caught in the crossfire. In the 1929s they learnt in 9 years what have we learnt in 40 yrs? I dont smoke, do alcohol or drugs
