Leave the issue of gun control alone and let the people have guns for defense, but require a safety course to purchase.

By trying to take guns away from the people Obama is taking away a right that is clearly stated in the bill of rights. The bill doesn't specify which guns the population can own, but was put in place so that if the need came up the people would have the same grade of weaponry as the gov't it would be fighting. By making it harder and harder to get military grade firearms is already pushing on the second amendment, and by trying to force down a harder gun law it is infringing on the right of the people to own firearms.
