Leave marijuana on the federal Controlled Substance Act.

Created by K.B. on November 13, 2012

Given that marijuana has a high potential for abuse, has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, and has a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision, marijuana should remain on the federal Controlled Substance Act. We are opposed to the current attempts to legalize marijuana.

While some states have indicated that they wish determine how to regulate marijuana, this is a violation of Article VI, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution (Supremacy Clause), and should have no bearing on the enforcement of the Controlled Substance Act.
