The new tuition policy, effective 1 Jan 2014, reduces the amount of assistance to military members for full time education by at least $2656.00. Many veterans, such as myself, signed their contract with the notion that they would be afforded the money they needed for education.
Please help us.
We signed our contracts, willing to go to war for our state and our country. The Department of Defence, reacting from the pressure placed on it to make budget cuts, dismantled tuition assistance completely in the beginning of this year. Despite the previous resolution, once again it has cut the assistance to active and drilling military members for their education, this time in a cunning way, adhering technically to the previous policy, but still managing to cut assistance by almost half per year.
