It is currently shunned, and you see animals trained for the military coming home. This wasn't always the case, and may still happen. I'd like to see a law preventing any of these animals from being abandoned in foreign countries, or put down simply because they were trained to be in the military and are no longer considered useful. They, like our human soldiers, should have every right to come home and live out their lives when the mission's over, not be discarded like trash.
