Kids are struggling to pay off their student loans. The "income based repayment" does not take into consideration private student loans or cost of living. Even the few of us with good jobs could really benefit from not paying almost as much (or more) as their monthly rent in student loans. Paying them off is 10 years is a joke, and my total amount "is not large enough" for an extension. I'm pretty sure 49 grand for 3 years of art school is more than plenty.
