Leave the United States Marines covers (hats) alone. Our Uniform, like our Title was earned, not given.

This petition is to prevent or stop, President of the United States of America, the Honorable Mr. Barack Obama, from changing the cover worn by United States Marines in their Dress Blue uniforms. Marines both past and present are proud of the service we give the Republic, and we are nearly as proud of the uniforms we wear in giving that service. Obviously we support the updating of the female uniform standards to more closely resemble our own. We do not support the changing of our uniforms to resemble the female style covers that, while I was on active duty, even the female Marines hated. Uniform changes should only ever be made to increase the morale of our American Warriors, or to increase their combat effectiveness. The cover change does neither. Thank you.
