Loosing a family pet is hard enough, but when your pet gets hit by a car and the driver drives off, that only makes the situation harder. Within this petition, the person must inform the owner of the pet about the accident. If the pet has tags, the person must call or let the owner know about the accident. If the pet has no tags, the person must call the local animal control and inform them about the accident and leave their information with the animal control department.
According to the Veterinary Pet Insurance Company, 5,000 claims were filed last year of animals being hit by cars. Sign this petition and help those families coop with the loss of a pet by knowing the person responsible.
