Legal US immigrants stay outside US to be extended from max 6 months to higher period, due to high unemployment in US

Created by R.I. on October 19, 2011

Dear President,
Now legal US immigrants can stay only max 6 months (in some cases 1 year) outside US for other than employment reasons. And if they have to go for job outside US, they have to work for US firms only.

As unemplyment is high in US, please relax the rule on 'take up employment outside US only with US firms' and allow legal immigrants to work for any international firm provided Tax returns taken care.

Also request to extend the current maximum period of stay outside US for other than job reasons. They can use that period for exploring new opportunities and may reduse the burdon on US government.
Thanks
Ramesh
