Legalization of cannabis, now is the time!

The legalization of cannabis would be one of the greatest steps our country could take to recover. The amount of state and federal tax revenue that would be generated would be enormous. This is a billion dollar industry just waiting to be propelled. We would be able to pay down the national debt, put money into local, state and federal budgets for many things like schools, roads, hospitals, law enforcement and so much more. We need to open our eyes and see how much good the legalization of marijuana would have on our society. There are so many people on prescription drugs that have such harmful side effects that would benefits from cannabis. Why should a depressed person be put on a medication that one of the side effects is increase thoughts of suicide? Time is now to legalize cannabis.
