The practice of euthanasia or assisted suicide should be legalized for the American people nationwide, because many Americans suffer from terminal ailments or exist in a vegetative state. With this in mind, these people should have the free will to end their lives instead of having to suffer from the pain associated with their disease or state of being. Patients not conscious or unable to make a decision by will should have to have had signed a document stating a time limit before they can be put to rest.
