Legalization of Marijuana

This petition is solely for the purpose of the end of the Prohibition on hemp/ marijuana and to enable the natural growing plant to be legalized on a Federal level and taken off of the schedule 1 class drug list. By doing so this will open up many new opportunities in healthcare and industry; the production of hemp can be used to make fibers which can be used in items used on a daily basis such as clothing and other basic things, hemp is also a renewable resource which will reduce the lumber industry slowing down deforestation for paper. The flower or bud from the female marijuana plant can be used for medicinal purposes for people with chronic back pain or other serious conditions such as cancer. The revenue gained from taxing the sales of marijuana for recreational use would be enormous.
