Drug, Alcohol, and Tobacco addictions are problems for our society, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries, and requiring a large financial burden. We the people need--and demand--the ability to face this problem with all resources available, including the use of molecules that have been outlawed due to historical reasons.
Recently, Ibogaine (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibogaine) has emerged has a potential candidate for treatment of opioid (and other drug) addictions. Further research is required to fully understand Ibogaine, although much anecdotal evidence suggests that Ibogaine is a potent anti-addiction drug.
This petition asks the government to promote research of this molecule as a treatment for addiction, and to legalize the use of ibogaine for appropriate medical uses.
