Doesn't smoking industrial hemp get a person high?
The THC levels in industrial hemp are so low that no one could get high from smoking it. Hemp contains a relatively high percentage of another cannabinoid, CBD, that actually blocks the marijuana high. Hemp, it turns out, is not only not marijuana; it could be called "antimarijuana."
Isn't marijuana a gateway drug?
I will agree that marijuana is indeed a gateway drug, however it is a gateway effect caused by prohibition. When you go to a drug dealer all he wants is the money, so he will try to get you addicted to other drugs such as cocaine or heroine so you keep coming back.
