This matter is worth petitioning due to the fact that there are contradictory/hypocritical statements in the reasons to illegalize the LR (Land Rover) Defender series.
The reasons that the US government has given include, but are not limited to: Unsafe and Not Eco Friendly. These reasons seem to make little sense to me personally because the US Government doesn't illegalize other things that are far more ecologically damaging and dangerous to people.
And in illegalizing the LR Defender the Government has created a black market that really could easily be made nonexistent. This is in essence the prohibition of vehicles.
So in conclusion I think that the US government should legalize the Land Rover Defender series. Please support this petition, and remember every signature counts.
