Legalize all sales of Marijuana in the United States and let it be governed by the same laws as alcohol. Saving us taxes

The war on drugs is expensive. It costs taxpayers more than 26 Billion dollars annually in the United States and over 2.5 Trillion, give or take a few million, since declared by President Nixon in 1970. In that year President Nixon signed the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act. He also created the Drug Enforcement Agency, the first of its kind with the intent of controlling drugs deemed harmful and addictive. Drug use was on the rise and so was the supply. That first year the drug budget was 100 million; today that number has grown to more than 26 billion annually, 260 times more. The numbers are staggering. The monies pay for preventative and punitive measures. In the course of the last 40 years $33 Billion was spent on marketing. Use the sale of drugs to fight the war!
