dear president,
prohibition has shown us that a capitalistic society and restricted trade do not mix, if we wish to have something we'll get it no matter the market. decriminalization of hard drugs has shown great improvement before in other countries, no one has fatally overdosed in the Vancouver heroin clinic for example. by keeping these drugs illegal you ignore citizen deaths from tainted drugs and laugh at pain killers being the highest cause of overdose in the country at an average of 10 a day.
why make the junkies more of a victim? if federally distributed,taxed, and regulated the country would have a rather sharp gain in luxury taxes profited, have more money to give those using harder drugs a safe place to do so,and federal rehabilitation for those wanting to quit
