We the People would like the federal government follow Colorado and Washington in legalizing and regulating marijuana. Both the people and the government would benefit from this. The government benefits by receiving potentially tens of billions in tax dollars, creates a new industry and new jobs, (600 billion worldwide demand for hemp products), and a strong sustainable economy. We the People would benefit by letting otherwise socially responsible-law abiding citizens regain our freedom to use this plant for their own enjoyment in a non-criminal manner.
At the very least, declassify and decriminalize marijuana and fully legalize Industrial Hemp (no THC).
Mr. President, you could reverse our economic downturn. We the People will continue to fight for our freedom regarding this issue.
