The goal of this petition is to fund federal and state level education programs through the taxation of Marijuana. It has been repeatedly proven that the use of Marijuana is less harmful than the use of Alcohol or Tobacco.
Many states are having an issue with funding their education programs. Large amounts of money can be generated by the legalization and taxation of Marijuana. The money should go toward the bettering of elementary, middle, and high school education, with the ultimate goal of having nearly free college.
Now, other programs will be needed to go along with this one; however, it is a step toward a better America.
