The idea of legalization in our country seems to have spread like wildfire. There are currently 25 states where cannabis is legal. Four more states will be voting on legalization in 2016. Some full, some only medical. The issue is that under federal law cannabis is still illegal. With this interstate trade is still illegal. For instance an epileptic patient in Ohio needs a strain that is made in Colorado and they are looking to treat their epilepsy. So they need cannabis shipped to them. The issue is that the medicine being shipped across these two states is a federal crime. A patient should not be blocked from potential treatment because of outdated federal laws. It's time to remove cannabis from the scheduling system.
