Cannabis is an important plant that offers many benefits. The prohibition of Cannabis has been based on illegitimate rational and outright dismissal of more than one scientific study. Maintaining this hypocrisy is more damaging to the youth of America, than the threat of Marijuana "addiction" could ever be.
This is one area where the Federal Government CAN BACK DOWN and SAVE tax dollars. The opportunity is ripe for a massive scaling down of the Drug Enforcement Agency and the concurrent saving that would entail. Make right a historical wrong and help move US back onto an agriculturally based economy as Henry Ford and Thomas Jefferson once envisioned. Hemp (Cannabis, Marijuana, Pot, Weed, whatever you call it) can help do that.
