Cannabis (marijuana) should be legalized on a federal level and taxed in a manner similar to tobacco. This would allow for a multi-billion dollar industry to come off the streets in a dangerous manner and be transformed into a very plausible method of reducing the national debt. The byproducts of Cannabis would allow for entirely new industries to be created and along with them, jobs. jobs we desperately need. jobs that could help to sustain our fragile economy.
