Hemp, an amazing plant, otherwise known as Cannabis Sativa, has numerous benefits that are ignored because of lobbyists and close-minded people. This petition is to try to legalize hemp, the cousin of the very famous plant, marijuana. The difference between hemp and marijuana is not only the THC (tetrahyrdacannabinol) content (in which hemp has >.3%, marijuana has approximately 20%), but also the many uses. From textiles, to paper, to rope, to medicine, to food, to a cleaner, more advanced bio-fuel that could ultimately save the country billions, to seasonings, to biodegradable plastics. The possibilities are endless. Please help us in our race to legalize hemp, and better this country.
