"There is no instance of a nation benefitting from prolonged warfare." - Sun Tzu
The War on Drugs is no exception. In fact, both empirically and rationally, all evidence points to a stark contrast. The prohibition of cannabis plants (both hemp and marijuana) is much more damaging to this country than beneficial. In fact, by some estimates, cannabis plants have a potential value of $100 billion/year.
With a cash crop in such a position as cannabis, one in which its very existence is cause for controversy and imprisonment, the only road to a clear and concise decision with lasting social, fiscal, health, environmental, and even moral impact is through tangible political action.
