Legalize cockfighting in the United States

Cockfighting in the United States has been banned since 1978. It is time we stand up for our rights as American citizens! All the animal right's groups see is the actual fighting. The groups do not see the passion that the men and women put into their birds! They spend countless hours and thousands of dollars getting the birds in tip top shape. The birds are not just yard pets, but to many they are a way of life. I would much rather my son be in the yard playing with roosters and hens, instead of dealing drugs on the street corner! The government is allowed to send our sons and daughters to war with no promise to come back, but we can't do the same with our birds! PLEASE help legalize cockfighting in the United States!
