The Obama Administration should legalize doctor-assisted suicide after psychiatric evaluation allowing people the ultimate control over themselves, should they be evaluated to be sane. A side effect of this would be that mentally unstable patients who seek this option will be guided towards help. People already have the right to be put on life support or not, and they have the option to commit suicide in more gruesome, horrific ways. Why not allow a more humane option for those who have rationally chose death?
