legalize English as the official language of the United States.

Created by S.A. on March 01, 2013

Millions of dollars are wasted each year in the duplication of government publications, information, etc in multiple languages at every level (federal, state, and local) because there is no official language of the United States. Legalizing English as the official language of the United States would give formal support to stop the waste of taxpayer money on the ongoing duplication of materials in multiple languages. Doing so will also place the responsibility back on U.S. citizens (and non-citizens alike) to learn the language if they do not know it, rather than waste taxpayer money to cater to their non-English speaking/reading/writing needs.
