Euthanasia, also known as assisted suicide, or mercy killing is the act of putting to death painlessly. With the intention of relieving constant and persistent suffering. Most of the time people who request to be euthanized are elderly people with terminal illnesses who have a short time to live.
By legalizing euthanasia the government will save trillions of dollars on medicare and medicaid. As well as preventing the suffering elderly patients may receive in nursing homes or hospitals. When our pets are sick, injured, old and dying, we have the option of humanely putting them to sleep. Shouldn't humans have the same right?
