Euthanasia is a major topic in our country and it should be legalized in the United States. Both voluntary euthanasia, which is when the person is mentally stable and has made the decision for themselves to die, and involuntary euthanasia, which is when the patient is unconscious and the decision is made for them to die should both be considered. The declaration of independence reads, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Doctors, relatives, and patients should be allowed these rights, and withholding these rights, in a sense, deprives the American people of their privileges.
