Legalize The Farming Of Hemp For Many Environmentally Friendly Products

Created by S.S. on January 13, 2013

Hemp has been used for thousands of years for a number of uses. There are many uses for hemp, this includes: paper, rope, clothes, shoes, fuel, oil, food, cement, strong plastics, soaps, shampoos, lotions, inks, fertilizer, mulch, and many medicines just to name a few. Hemp has a very low rate of THC, low enough that no matter how much you try to smoke you cannot get a high. Hemp is grown differently than its cousin cannabis, marijuana.

My petition is to ask for people to be more educated on the difference from hemp and marijuana because it seems to be a major problem in the case of why it is illegal. Hemp could be made into many clean energy products that this country needs. The farming of hemp could solve many environmental problems. Simply put, hemp is overlooked due to misinformation
