legalize filming in public areas without permits and during encounters with law enforcement or government officials.

Created by J.P. on April 08, 2013

In past news stories police officials have been caught on camera abusing their power. However, some states do not allow filming in public or require a permit. A bill should be proposed to allow people to film in public areas and during encounters with police and government officials. I think that by allow people to film in public, especially with upcoming technology which would improve filming capability and accessibility, police officials would feel more accountable and less likely to abuse their powers given to them by the people.
