With more and more states determining the illegality of banning gay marriage, isn't it imperative that we take that as a precedent and legalize it. With democrats wanting equal rights and with republicans wanting less government control, isn't the ultimate political goal accomplished if it is legalized. This is not a Christian nation and I hate that we use the bible as our code and not the Constitution. Why do we even need amendments allowing different people to vote and to criminalize discriminatory practices? It's embarrassing that we say "all men are created equal" but only if they're white and Christian. What if interracial marriage was still illegal, would we change that, should we allow black people into the military as well? Stop hating!
