The purpose of the United States government is to protect the rights of the citizens, given that those rights don't harm other individuals by means of theft, murder, or anything that would directly violate another person's well-being. Being homosexual hurts absolutely nobody, and therefore it is completely acceptable. According the the Declaration of Independence, all men are created equal. Therefore, homosexuals should be granted the same rights as heterosexuals, as they are equal individuals. I repeat that being homosexual doesn't hurt anyone, and therefore homosexuals should not be frowned upon or discriminated against.
