Legalize Gay Marriage on the grounds of religious freedom.

Created by J.C. on November 15, 2012

Our government does many things on the grounds of religious freedoms, but one thing our officials seem unwilling to do is grant gay people the right to marry.

It isn't taken into account that there are religions that would marry gay couples, an example being the Episcopal Church. It is therefore unconstitutional and in violation of the First Amendment to prohibit religious organizations that would marry gay and lesbian couples from doing so.

"The government of the United States shall not make any laws respecting religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

We the people petition the Obama administration to allow free exercise of religion by legalizing gay marriage, so that affirming groups like the Episcopal Church may wed gay couples.
