Throughout history there have been many arguments over the rights among different peoples. African Americans have dealt with hatred against their people, and have fought to gain equal rights among men. Women have also fought and gained equal voting rights, as well as the right to equal pay. Now a new fight is on our front: the fights for gays to gain equal rights, especially the right to marry. Gays deserve the same support and equality given to everyone who has fought for equality before them.
Now, in the 21st century, the issue of gay marriage is at the forefront of human rights battles. Why should gays deserve any less than straight people? It is a form of discrimination in a country where, "All men are created equal."
